   BIOMES   
  1. Biomes - various geographical areas of distinctive plant and animal groups, adapted to the environment of their particular region.
    a. World Biomes  - a site detailing five major biomes of the world.
    b. World Habitats  - World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) shares research on habitats.
    c. NASA Earth Observatory  - overall infromation given about each biome and more links about each biome on the bottom.
    d. World Biomes  - University of California Museum of Paleonthology describes the six major biomes of the world.
    e. Blue Planet World Biomes  - nice layout and description of each biome.
    f. Earth FLoor: Biomes  - general characteristics of biomes, includes link of animals and plants within each.
    g. Biomes of the World  - Missouri Botanical Garden offers age appropriate information about biomes and ecosystems.

    a. Temperate Rain Forests  - found in North America, nice links.

    a. Amazon Interactive  - explore the geography of the Ecuadorian Amazon through online games and activities.

      Grasslands
    a. National Grasslands  - information presented by the US Forest Service.
    b. Grasslands Conservation Council of British Columbia  - offers an introduction to grasslands, what they are, where in the world they are found, etc.


      Tundra
    a. Tundras  - information presented by the US Forest Service.
